Food Rescue

Impact

In a span of the school year, we 'rescued' over 12000 wholesome food items from schools and diverted them to local pantries and people in need. This reduces food waste and green-gas; it would have ended up in the landfill otherwise.

This was made possible with support from the WPS District and in collaboration with the Wakefield Environmental Committee (ESC), parent volunteers from the WPS Schools, Facilities team, and community volunteers. (Thank you!)
